The Story
Studio di Bianco is Borgo del Tiglio's top white and Manferrari's most personal statement: a co-planted, co-fermented blend of roughly 50% Friulano, 25% Sauvignon Blanc, and 25% Riesling, all harvested on the same day from the historic Ruttars vineyard and pressed together. It is, as the name promises, a study, the wine he uses to think through what a great Collio white can be. Aged in 250-liter barrels, it ages effortlessly for a decade or more, gathering nutty depth and beeswax richness. One of the great whites of Italy, and the wine to pour when you want someone to understand Friuli.
