The Story
Le Chat Blanc comes from one of the domaine's original parcels of the same name, planted with roughly 40-year-old Chardonnay vines. Clair Obscur is the small biodynamic estate of Pierre and Jennifer Clair; Pierre worked the vines at two of Burgundy's iconic biodynamic addresses, Domaine de Montille and d'Angerville, before farming his own 3.5 hectares around Corpeau and Maranges. Old vines and aging on fine lees in old barrels give this Bourgogne Blanc real concentration and length. A characterful, low-intervention white Burgundy. Drink the 2022 now or over a few years.
