Les Evocelles is a village-level Gevrey-Chambertin from high, cooler slopes at the northern edge of the appellation, giving it extra freshness and lift. Denis Bachelet has farmed his tiny four-hectare estate nearly single-handedly since 1983, earning cult status for finesse and perfume. This lieu-dit bottling shows his signature delicacy with a bit more energy and altitude-driven tension. The 2023 is fragrant and graceful, drinkable young but happy to age a few years.
