Domaine Duroche Gevrey-Chambertin Le Clos 2022 [NET]

If Champ is the lifted, mineral side of Pierre Duroché's village range, Le Clos is the dense, structural one. The parcel sits at the foot of the Combe Lavaux on clay-limestone. Tiny (under 0.4 ha), planted in 1998, and clearly punching above its village pedigree. The 2022 shows textbook Gevrey: earthy minerality, dark cherry, real structure, beautiful detail. Native-yeast fermentation, very little new oak, bottled with no fining or filtration. A wine that asks for a few years in the cellar and rewards patience.
