The Story
Sebastien David is the fifteenth generation of his family to make wine in Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil, with roots in the Loire stretching back to 1634. He farms 15 hectares of Cabernet Franc biodynamically, and his Hurluberlu (a nickname meaning "someone with their head in the clouds") is the joyful gateway to his work. Twenty-five days of carbonic maceration, no filtration, zero added sulfur. The result is exuberant glouglou Cab Franc, all crunchy red fruit and zippy energy.
