The Story
Hugel has been making wine in Riquewihr since 1639 — twelve generations of one of Alsace's foundational families. The Estate Riesling is a step above their Classic bottling, drawn from carefully chosen parcels including grand cru sites like Schoenenbourg and a touch of Sporen. 2019 was an exceptional vintage in Alsace, and the wine reflects it: beautifully dry (around 3 g/L residual sugar), saline and mineral, with a smoky-earthy edge and ripe citrus core. Classic Hugel — built for the table.
