The Story

Gosset, founded in 1584, is the oldest wine house in Champagne — and this bottling is something extraordinary even by their standards. "A Minima" means "at minimum," and the minimum here is 15 years on the lees, when the norm for non-vintage Champagne is under five. The blend is 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir, kept fresh by Gosset's house signature of no malolactic fermentation. The result is a Champagne of unusual complexity for an NV: biscuit, sweet spice, candied yellow fruit, all carried on a frame that's still electric with acidity. Just 5,000 bottles produced. A genuinely rare look at what extended aging can do.
