The Giusti family has farmed this Russian River Valley property since the 1870s — one of the oldest grape-growing legacies in Sonoma. Their Pinot Noir block sits in a fog-funneled microclimate that runs slightly warmer than the surrounding valley, planted on Josephine loam to 115, 667, and 777 clones. In Kosta Browne's hands, the 2019 vintage delivers all the hallmarks of the site: layered aromas of cinnamon, dried orange peel, cranberry, and raspberry; a medium-bodied palate with spicy fruit; and grainy tannins framed by bright acidity. Elegant, energetic, and built for another few years in bottle.
