The Story
From Filippo Rizzo's organically-farmed Lamoresca estate in interior Sicily — a biodiverse oasis in a landscape otherwise dominated by industrial grain. The Rosato is usually a roughly equal blend of Nero d'Avola and Frappato with a touch of Moscato, but in 2024 mildew knocked back Frappato yields, so the wine leans more heavily on Nero d'Avola. Direct-pressed, aged in concrete for eight months, bottled without additions. The result is a Mediterranean rosé with substance: pale coral in the glass, fragrant with wild strawberry and citrus peel, dry and saline on the palate.
