The Story
Garnacha from the high granite terraces of Cebreros in the Sierra de Gredos, where cool nights and poor soils give wines of perfume and energy. Rico Nuevo is a family estate working old bush vines across scattered micro-parcels, farming organically with a hands-off approach in the cellar. Jiron de Niebla (a nod to El Sotillo's old vines) is one of their single-site Garnachas, vinified in steel, concrete and old wood to capture the site without oak getting in the way. Ethereal and savory in the new Gredos mold.
