Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo is one of Italy's great rosés — denser and more wine-like than Provence pink, made from Montepulciano grapes given a short maceration that gives the wine its trademark cherry-pink color (cerasuolo means "cherry-hued"). Tenuta I Fauri's "Baldovino" — named for the nickname of founder Domenico Di Camillo — is the textbook version: gentle maceration, stainless steel fermentation, no oak, all freshness.
